For historical prices, it uses NYMEX pricing. Forward prices are a flat oil and gas price. We have capabilities to run flat pricing for historical and point forward. As of now, we do not have the ability to incorporate strip prices for future pricing; however, it is on our roadmap.
This is very dependent on the information you actually use from other software. From a high-level, 4cast gives you mapping capabilities, well header information, monthly production data (no pressures and water is sparse or non-existent), modified hyperbolic Arps forecasts, and a cashflow model to obtain outputs such as cashflows, PVs at various discount rates, payout, IRR, ROI, and PIR.
If there's something you have to have from another software, there's a chance we could integrate it. We welcome a challenge!

The outlier detector is used to scrub out things like flush production and shut-in production. The sensitivity can be modified by the user.
The auto-forecast feature generates a decline curve through the production that has not been 'kicked out' by the outlier detector. The user has the ability to set the bounds of the Arps' decline curve parameters. In addition, the user can generate a manual decline curve.
The user has the ability to modify numerous inputs to apply a valuation to the decline curve(s) generated in previous steps. Some of the numbers you can determine: price per acre, rate of return, present values at various discount rates, profit to investment ratio, payout, economic life, and much more.
Not yet, but it is high on our roadmap. If you have a representative well to use as a type well, you can run that through 4cast and use it for your reserve and economic decisions.
No. This is something we have on the horizon, but it is a little ways out.
The options are vast. PDFs and PowerPoints can be generated with a couple clicks. It is built in Spotfire, so we can very likely build a customized report to whatever you might want.
